2022 Candidate Filing Period

Interested in a new way to get involved in your community? Consider running for local office! The Monticello City Council has three positions up for election in 2022: Mayor and two City Councilmembers.

The candidate filing period will be open from Tuesday, August 2 until Tuesday, August 16 at 5 p.m. Interested residents need to submit an Affidavit of Candidacy at City Hall and pay a $5 filing fee.
