About

Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong and is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. It’s easy to learn for beginners and can evolve into more competitive and fast-placed play for more experienced players. If you’re curious, check out some how-to videos online to see how easy it is to get started!

If you’re ready for some competition and a lot of fun with some exercise mixed in, grab a friend or two and join in the adult pickleball league!

Players

Players include you and a partner. Teams can be both male, both female, or co-ed. Games are played 2-on-2 and teams can have up to 3 rostered players. Players must be 18 years or older. You do not need to be a Community Center member to play in this league.

Location

Monticello Community Center gym. You will need to sign-in each week at the Community Center guest service desk, even if you are not a Community Center member. Open pickleball is free for members, daily fees apply to nonmembers.

Time / Date

  • Open Pickleball is every week on Tuesdays from 5-8:45 p.m.
  • Open Pickleball for ages 55+ is available select mornings. Please see the gym schedule for more information.

Equipment

Nets, balls and wooden paddles are provided by the league but you may also bring your own standard pickleball paddle, if desired. All teams will assist with setting up and taking down nets, as well as sanitizing equipment, as needed.
