The Monticello Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission is made up of 8 resident volunteers appointed by the City Council.
Brian Stoll, Chair
Sam Murdoff, Council Liaison
The Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission develops and reviews plans for the acquisition and development of parks and recreational facilities, develops recreation programs, reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions, and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council.
Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission members are each assigned to monitor parks and serve as a liaison between the community and the City Council on park issues.
We welcome volunteers interested in serving on city boards and commissions! Opportunities are posted throughout the year on our employment and volunteer page.
