Responsibilities

The Finance Department is responsible for planning the adequate funding of services desired by the public, including the provision and maintenance of public facilities, managing municipal finances wisely, and carefully accounting for public funds.

Our department is also responsible for budgeting and financial planning, accounting and financial reporting, treasury and risk management, information technology (IT), and utility billing. The IT division is responsible for the planning, implementing, and supporting citywide information systems.

Goals

Our department strives to ensure that the city is capable of adequately funding and providing local government services needed by the community. We provide sound fiscal management of city resources and manage the city’s finances in the most open and straightforward manner possible.
