Parks & Recreation Commission
The Parks & Recreation Commission develops and reviews plans for the acquisition and development of parks and recreational facilities, develops recreation programs, reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council.
Parks & Recreation Commission members are each assigned to monitor parks and serve as a liaison between the community and the City Council on park issues.
The Parks & Recreation Commission meets the fourth Thursday of every other month at 9:15 a.m. at the Public Works Office. Public Works is located at 909 Golf Course Road. The phone number for the office is (763) 295-3170.
The Monticello Parks & Recreation Commission is made up of 8 resident volunteers appointed by the City Council.
