Economic Development Authority (EDA)
The Monticello Economic Development Authority sets goals and objectives to attract higher wage level jobs and expand the city tax base. It’s sanctioned by the State of Minnesota under rules governing financial programs such as tax increment financing and business subsidy grants and loans.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Mississippi Room at the Monticello Community Center.
The EDA is made up of 7 members appointed by the City Council. 2 of the voting members are City Council members. The current members include:

Regular EDA meetings are broadcast live on local cable channel 12 (FiberNet, TDS) or channel 180 (Charter). Meetings are replayed throughout the week or citizens can watch EDA meeting recordings online.
